What started out as an all or nothing investment in a gas station turn restaurant, Andriccio’s have been providing stellar dining services for over two decades, a feat most restaurants rarely achieve in an era where one building might change ownership three times in as many years.
Walk into Andriaccio’s and what’s most apparent, besides the sweet aromas of homemade dough and fresh tomato sauce, is the wealth of family memorabilia hanging in the entry way: awards, newspaper clippings, family events, photos, reminders to the heart of Andriaccio’s livelihood.
Over the 24 years in business, the restaurant has seen founders Guy and Toni and their extensive family help out in one way or another – and the tradition continues today, as Nick and his wife Sally maintain the Andriaccio name, quality and pride, still providing the essentials that made them famous: Pizza, Spaghetti, Calzones and Pasta Specialities. “But we also have Porterhouse Steaks as well as a Boneless Porkchop, which is just beautiful”, says Nick Andriaccio.
The Andriaccio family takes as much pride in ther cuisine as anyone, but it’s not just the restaurant that puts a smile on Nick and Sally’s faces, it’s the roots they have established in the Mayville and Chautauqua area. “ I read about some kids that come up every summer and when asked what makes the trip for them, they answered Andriaccio’s pizza. That really makes you feel good, ” Nick continues. Ever since the Andriaccio’s departed Buffalo in the early 80’s, their name has become one of the pullars of the area, with always a yound one in the paper for football or hockey, and a parent on the next page for helping the community. “ We’ve earned out stripes to be called local,” laughs Nick.
And proving that family commitment can indeed endure in the face of progress, Nick and Sally’s children – Amanda, Jacob, Justin and Abigail can be seen helping out on any night, finding their spirit in something unique.
