Wow, it’s hard to believe that only three months ago ChautauquaVibe.com was nothing more than a thought bubble floating over our heads. In all reality though, this is the culmination of a process that began years ago when a group of friends and colleagues first decided that if they really wanted to create a big city vibe and find new, exciting things to do around the Chautauqua County, then they would probably just have to do it themselves. So we did. And now we want you to help. Yeah, that’s right. With our powers combined…
Working on the branding for ChautauquaVibe.com was especially fun. Anyone creative can tell you there’s nothing better than being your own client. No committees to present to. No waiting for approval emails before taking your next breath. And no cousin’s friend’s sister who knows a guy that “has experience with marketing” and is suggesting a new color scheme. Nope, just pure unbridled creative freedom run amok.
Speaking of color schemes, how about hot pink, blue, and orange? Absolutely. Maybe a UFO should float across the screen in the promotional video. Yeah, let’s try that. Hey, how about clouds with huge teeth yelling at you while the website’s features rain down like manna from heaven? Sure, why not. Go, go, go!
The purpose of ChautauquaVibe.com is to give that same type of creative freedom to everyone who participates and to make sure the gems they produce get the attention they deserve. Share your knowledge, insight, and creativity with the community and we’ll make sure the clouds yell it loud enough so everyone hears.
