Organizers of the Fredonia Farmers' Market are inviting the public to join them for the opening day of the market on Saturday, June 12 at the Village Hall at 9 Church St.
"Our unique collection of growers, crafters, and vendors make shopping at the Fredonia Farmers' Market a fun activity, but we also have music and local artists scheduled to attend the market throughout the season," explains organizers.
On June 12, people attending the market are invited to come and see the artwork of Fredonia resident and Art Trail Director Tom Annear. He will be working on one of his Plein Air paintings at the market and attendees can see his work and ask questions. He will also be debuting a limited edition print called 'The Blue Bells of Alexander Preserve, Zoar Valley."
Also at the market on June 12 at 10:30 a.m. is local band Desperate Measures. They will be performing family friendly tunes and familiar Americana music. The performance is free and open to the public.
In addition to featured artists and local musicians, the Fredonia Farmers’ Market will also have craft workshops and cooking demonstrations at the market this summer. Workshop topics include basket weaving, knitting, herb gardening, and cooking with herbs. A workshop and event schedule will be available at the market.
The Fredonia Farmers' Market is held on Saturdays June 12 through Oct. 9 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. For more information on weekly events, visit the Fredonia Farmers' Market page on Facebook.
